Who it is for

Project management for consultants who bill by the hour

Estimate against actual, a timer that follows you, billable or not, and a CSV that drops into whatever you invoice from — without paying for an invoicing suite.

If you sell time, two things about a project tool matter more than anything else: can you log time against the actual piece of work without ceremony, and does it tell you whether the job is going over. Think Projects does both on every plan, and stops short of invoicing on purpose.

Logging time

A timer in the top bar follows you around the app; start it on a task and it keeps running while you read a thread or answer a message. Or log a block after the fact — a task, a duration, a note, billable or not. Time can be logged from the task drawer or the Time tab, and edited later.

Estimate against actual

Every task can have an estimate; the timeline uses it to forecast the finish date. Once time is logged, every task shows logged against estimated, with the overrun in red — the number that tells you at week two whether a fixed-price job is going to hurt. The Time tab totals any date range by person and by task, with the billable share, and exports as CSV with the columns invoicing tools expect.

Several clients, one calendar

Each client is a project (or several). My work and the Calendar show everything you are on across all of them; each project's timeline forecasts when it finishes; the weekly status update for each is drafted for you. Clients are guests, free, and see only their own project. If you work with an associate on one job and not another, they are a guest on that project only.

What we don't do

Rates, budgets, invoices, retainers, expenses. Those belong in your accounts tool. Export the CSV and invoice from where you invoice today.
