Who it is for

Running client work with clients who live in email

Reply by email, a page they can open from a link, a report every Friday: how Think Projects keeps clients in the loop without asking them to learn it.

Most project tools expect clients to log in and learn them. Think Projects keeps the client's part small: clients can reply to project notifications by email, and if they open the link, what they see is only their own projects.

The client who lives in email

Every notification is a proper email with the whole context, and replying to it lands in the thread — as a reply on a message, or a comment on a task — under their name. They can send a photo from their phone and it attaches.

A guest sees only the projects they are on: the messages, the task list with what is done, the files, and the forecast finish date. No admin, no other clients, no General library. There is a two-minute guide written for them. As a collaborator they can tick a task you have assigned to them, reply, react and upload; as a viewer they can read. They are free — always, on every plan, with no limit.

The Friday report

Each week a status update is drafted from what happened — done, slipped, coming up, blockers, with a green, amber or red mark — and a manager sends it. It goes to the client by email and stays pinned on the project. Weeks later, the colour of every update sits in a row on the project's Insights tab.

Meetings that end in tasks

Paste the agenda into a project meeting, take notes under each item as it runs, and turn any line into a task or a decision. The minutes are written for you and emailed to everyone who was there, the client included.

Getting things out

A message thread or page can be exported as a PDF, Markdown, plain text or a Google Doc — the decision record for the file, or the whole discussion for a client who wants it on paper. Time entries export as CSV for invoicing.

The company, not just the person

Guests belong to companies. Put "Northwind Coffee" in once and every guest from them, every project for them and every closure day they have told you about is in one place under Admin → Companies.

What it costs
